A former Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Arthur Kennedy has slammed a system in his party which he says rewards extremism and loudmouths.

In an interview with XYZ News, Dr. Arthur Kennedy said it is unfortunate that the party failed to condemn Sir John for his unsavoury statements on the Supreme Court of Ghana.

According to him, Sir John is a product of a system that rewards extremism rather than nobility and therefore he finds Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe’s call for the party’s General Secretary to resign absurd.

‘Sir John is a product of a system and I respect Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe a lot but he (Sir John) is a product of a system that for some time now rewarded extremism, loudmouths’.

He however added that calls for opposition General Secretary Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie to resign over what he described as irresponsible comments must be extended to other politicians including President Mahama, NPP Flagbearer Nana Akufo Addo and others who make irresponsible statements.

The former campaign manager for Nana Akufo Addo said punishment of errant politicians must not be an isolated concern.

‘This is not an NPP problem it is a Ghanaian problem; from former President Rawlings, Kwabena Adjei, Asiedu Nketia even my own normally responsible President Kufuor; I can cite times when all these people have made irresponsible statements unbecoming of the political space.

‘What happened in the Supreme Court was a culmination of a long line of activities’.
