Ghana striker Isaac Boakye refuses to give up on his professional career despite not playing active football in over two years.

The 31-year-old claims he is now fully fit to continue with his career after an extensive spell on the sidelines through injury.

Boakye has not played active football since leaving Norwegian club Valarenga in 2011.

The former Asante Kotoko hitman who has won 17 international caps says he feels healthy to return to mainstream football though yet to decide on the club he will be joining.

“I am one hundred percent fit now. I had a couple of injury worries last year which has kept me out of the game but now I look solid and will soon return to the pitch. He told XYZ Sports.

“I haven’t really decided which team I will be playing for but I think that after the recovery I will soon return into full scale action.

“I just have to start with my conditioning and move on with my career.

“My deal at Valerenga was not successful due to a recurring knee injury that I encountered but now I feel better.

“I am finished yet I still have a lot of football to play and that is what i am working on for now.”

Boakye has failed to reach his fullest potential as a deadly striker in his hey days due to injuries.

He played most of his football in Germany where he featured for Arminia Bielefield, VFL Wolfsburg, Mainz and Nurenberg.
