Daniel Kofi Agyei is set to join Siena

Ghanaian youth international midfielder Daniel Kofi Agyei is on the verge of joining Italian Serie B side Siena on a season-long loan deal from Fiorentina, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

Fiorentina have been weighing up options for the 21-year-old who spent last season with Serie B side Juve Stabia and Siena appear to be the viable option.

Siena were relegated from the Italian top-flight in the 2012/13 season and want to fast-track their return to the Seria A and the Bianconeris believe the youngster can anchor their midfield for a successful campaign.

A host of Serie B clubs considered a move for the former Ghana U20 midfielder who made over 15 appearances for La Viola two seasons ago.

Agyei is billed to undergo medicals at Siena early next week to complete his move to the club.

He played at Juve Stabia with Maxwell Acosty who has joined Chievo Verona for the 20013/14 season.
