Egypt: Curfew Imposed in 12 Governorates

Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawy decided to impose curfew, that will last for the next month – or until further notice, in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Benif Suef, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Behira, South Sinai, North Sinai, Suez and Ismailia.

Anyone who would violate the curfew, which will run from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., will be imprisoned.

The decision followed countrywide clashes between supporters of deposed president Mohamed Morsi and security forces following the dispersal of the two sits-in in Rabaa el-Adawya and Nahda areas.
