Uti campaigns for Melvin …Angelo declares love for Beverly

With less than two weeks to the end of the Big Brother Africa competition, the race to clinch the converted USD300000 prize money – about N47m – is heating up. Fans have also taken to social media sites to campaign for their favourite housemate.

With two Nigerians, Beverly and Melvin, through to the finals, former Big Brother winner, Uti Nwachukwu, has openly declared his choice for Melvin to win. Nwachukwu, a two- time winner, took to his Facebook account to campaign for Melvin, who is also a model.

The post reads, “My awesome UFC peeps! We all know that BBA will soon get to thee. Thankfully, our boy Melvin wasn’t nominated this week! Yeey! But let’s work for him this week o. Let’s channel all our voting energy/power and please vote Melvin’s video to be used in ONE campaign, an organisation fighting against poverty in Africa.

“Thank you so much! Please, let’s not abandon our own. I can assure you, Melvin is a gentle, humble heart and it is high time kindness and humility got rewarded in every way! So, please click on the link below and vote our boy Melvin Oduah.”

Meanwhile, South African contestant, Angelo, who is Beverly’s love interest, opened up to Big Brother about his love for her during the diary session. He said, “The person that inspires me the most is Beverly. She can read me very well. I am not used to having someone read me so well.”

“She inspires me to go and pray and inspires me to read something and I feel lucky to have someone to take note and who takes the time to inspire me,” he added.

When Big Brother probed further about the status of their relationship and if they nursed any fear that they would share the same unlucky fate as the other couples in the competition, dreadlocked spotting Angelo said he was confident.

“I am not worried about us being targeted for being a couple because we are both strong individuals that make time to do their own thing. So, no one would be intimidated by our relationship.”

Also, Beverly is optimistic about what the future holds for her and Angelo.  “I hope that we can continue to be together outside of the House,” she noted during the diary session.

This declaration comes barely a day after the young model got some brotherly advice from Elikem, the Ghanaian contestant, with regards to her romance with Angelo.

“Make the right choice. Open your eyes. That’s all,” the Ghanaian fellow warned her.

Angelo, Bimp and Dillish are up for possible eviction this week,  just as Beverly has made history by becoming the first Big Brother contestant to sail through the season without being nominated.
