Asiedu Attorbrah set to join Columbus Crew

New Edubiase President Abdul Salam Yakubu has confirmed midfielder Asiedu Attorbrah will not be joining Asante Kotoko.

Both clubs had earlier reached an agreement to have duo Abeiku Ainooson and Attorbrah join the Premier League champions from Edubiase.

And though Ainooson has completed his move to the Porcupine Warriors, that of Attorbrah still remains in the balance.

The President of the Berkwa-based club now confirms Attorbrah will now be moving abroad to join American club Columbus Crew instead of moving to Kotoko.

“We have already given Abeiku Ainooson to Kotoko and Attorbrah has expressed the wish to travel abroad,” Yakubu told Metro941.com.

“So we will respect his wishes and let him move abroad.

“There is an offer for him in the US with Columbus Crew in Ohio so he will move there.”

Attorbrah had earlier trained with Mamelodi Sundowns while the South African club was in Ghana on a pre-season tour but an offer was not made.
