Ashantigold have stolen a march on regional rivals Kotoko for Heart of Lions striker Bernard Morrison after the player underwent a medical on Wednesday.
Morrison has been tracked by Kotoko during the transfer window but has opted to join their rivals.
Lions have accepted defeat in their quest to hold onto their prize asset and will allow the player to join the Obuasi-based side and will put pen-to-paper on a long term deal.
The Local Black Stars striker is seen as a replacement for Yakubu Mohammed who left to join South African side Maritzburg United.
