Wakaso Mubarak has been told he would not be offered an improved deal

Spanish La Liga side Espanyol have failed to meet the demands of Ghana winger Wakaso Mubarak for an improve offer making his move away from the Catalan club more likely.

The 22-year-old was promised a pay rise at the end of the 2012/13 season but the club have refused to increase his $20, 000 monthly salary.

Espanyol have also rejected a mega-rich bid from Russian side Rubin Kazan making the former Villarreal youngster fuming with anger.

Wakaso accused Espanyol of denying him the chance to feed his family after a mega offer from Kazan was thrown away while the Espanyol President also hit back at the Ghana international.

His departure from the club looks more likely after he was told he cannot be offered a pay increase by the club.

English sides Swansea City, Norwich and Everton are all interested in Wakaso who overly impressed on his debut season at the Estadi Cornellà-El Prat.

It was rumoured in the Spanish media that giants Barcelona were interested in him.
