A leading member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sam Pee Yalley has counselled the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie to be cautious in exercising his democratic rights.
According to Mr. Sam Pee Yalley, Mr. Owusu Afriyie has persistently made derogatory comments in the media.
Speaking on Badwam on Adom TV Tuesday, Mr. Yalley advised Owusu Afriyie to be mindful of his choice of words if he wants to be an effective General Secretary.
Nevertheless, he also added his voice to the many who have pleaded for clemency for the NPP scribe.
Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly called “Sir John”, and a member of NPP’s communications team, Hopeson Adorye will on Wednesday face the panel of judges hearing the election petition to explain why they should not be jailed for contempt of court.
Nana Akomea, Communications Director of the party on Monday however, stated on Asempa FM that Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie would escape the wrath of the Supreme Court.
