Leading pioneer of the African comedy scene, Julius Agwu who is set to host his widely acclaimed show, ‘Crack Ya Ribs’ for the first time at the London Indigo 02 on 23 August, 2013, has become the first Nigerian comedian to be verified by Twitter.
The award winning comedian who recently launched his autobiography titled Jokes apart will lead top African live stand-up comedians including Bovi, Akpororo, Funny Bone, Senator, Dan D Humourous and UK’s leading African comedian Eddie Kadi to entertain Londoners, ending the summer holidays on a comical note.
The decision to move the annual Crack Ya Ribs show to such a bigger venue stems from Julius Agwu turning 40 earlier this year. When asked about the newly re-branded show, Julius commented ‘things ought to be done differently this year. I have re-packaged and renewed the show to bring back that flavour that made it a first class comedy show in the UK for the past seven years.’
Other performers on the night will include man of the moment Kcee, May D, UK’s Moelogo and many others. Main sponsors of the show are Arik Air, Kato Services, Lebara Mobile and Diamond Bank.
