English side Hull City will step up their chase for Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed on Tuesday by holding talks with his French club Evian on Tuesday, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The newly-promoted Premier League started talks with the club over a possible move for the hard-tackling midfielder late last week.

But with the transfer window drawing to a close in two weeks’ Hull will intensify their campaign to grab the player at a meeting on Tuesday, Ghana’s leading football news outfit GHANAsoccernet.com has been told by sources close to the deal.

Despite the interest from Fulham, Portuguese giants Benfica and Russian side Krasnodar are also keen on signing the midfielder.

The player is keen on a move to a league where his game would be enhanced so England and Portugal are his preferred destination by the lure of Russian money could prove tempting.

The 23-year-old, a former target for Fulham, would cost around £2million.

Part of the Ghana side that won the 2009 FIFA Under 20 World Cup, Rabiu has eight caps for the senior side.

He was also a part of the Evian team that won the French second division title in 2010-2011 while on loan from Italian side Udinese, which was sufficient to earn him a permanent deal.
