Defender Kwaku Andoh is close to joining Hearts

Accra Hearts of Oak are close to completing the signing of defender Kwaku Andoh from Heart of Lions, Ghanasoccernet.com understands.

The Phobians will wrap up the recruitment of the enterprising center-back who can also play at the right side of defence and central midfield by the end of the week.

Andoh, originally owned by Berekum Chelsea spent last season at Kpando with Heart of Lions .

Hearts coach David Duncan is a long standing admirer of the former Ghana U20 defender and added him to his transfer targets.

Talks between Hearts and Chelsea have advanced and Andoh will be a Hearts player by next week.

Chelsea have agreed to allow Hearts speak to Andoh and the defender has agreed personal terms with the 22-time Ghanaian champions league.

Striker Prince Appiah who played for Dwarfs last season also trained with the Rainbow Club at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
