Kennedy Agyapong Donates To Muslims

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has donated various items to some Muslim communities in Accra.

The items included 150 bags of rice, a quantity of sugar, cooking oil and liquid soap.

The beneficiary Muslim communities were Madina, Adenta, Nima and Ashaiman. The Chief of Assin Akonfodi, Nana Appiah Pani, made the presentation on behalf of Mr Agyapong at a ceremony at Madina.

He said the donation was part of the MP‘s desire to assist Muslims at the end of their Ramadan every year.

Nana Pani said Mr Agyapong was committed to the welfare of Muslims in the country and had decided to assist them whenever the need arose.

The Director of Radio for Kencity Media, who was present at the ceremony, urged Muslims to pray for peace, unity and stability in the country.

He said as part of Mr Agyapong’s philanthropic gesture, he had allocated free air time to Muslims to preach on his networks; namely Oman FM, Ash FM and Net 2 TV, free of charge.

Sheik Jabil Musah of Kasoa Iron City received the items on behalf of the beneficiary communities.

He expressed his gratitude to Mr Agyapong and urged other well-to-do citizens in the country to emulate his example.
