John Boye is in pain
France-based John Boye will miss French league opener after being left out of Rennes’ squad to face Reims on Saturday.
The Ghana international will miss his club’s opening match of the season because of injury.
He was not part of the 18 players selected to play in the home game.
The central defender suffered a thigh strain while in action for Stade Rennes in a friendly last week.
The 26-year-old is expected to be out for an estimated two-week period – effectively ruling him out of Ghana’s friendly against Turkey in Istanbul on August 14.
