Afari-Gyan advice to polling agents: Don’t refuse to sign a pink sheet – Gabby

Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan advised polling agents to sign any results of a polling station even if they had complaints about the electoral process, Gabby Otchere Darko is claiming.

Speaking on Joy FM’s Newsfile political analysis programme, the Executive Director of the Danquah Institute said the Chair of the Electoral Commission at a meeting on 5th December 2012, told party representatives that a party agent’s refusal to sign does not invalidate results of the polls.

On that basis, he urged party agents accredited to a polling station to first, sign results as counted and declared and get a copy of the results recorded on the pink sheet.

The agent could then proceed to the constituency collation center and show it as evidence of irregularity.
