Michael Osei has confirmed signing a two-year deal to join Asante Kotoko as an assistant coach.
The former Ghana international rejoins the club he once played for during his active days as a professional.
Osei joins Kotoko haven finished his contract with New Edubiase at the end of the last Premier League season.
He is now looking forward to helping the side retain their Premier League trophy while helping the team make a more meaningful impact in Africa.
“It is true, I have joined Asante Kotoko as an assistant coach on a two-year contract,” he told Accra-based Peace FM.
“I am happy to be back to my mother club and I hope to help the side win more trophies and also progress further in Africa.”
Osei played for Kotoko in the late 80’s before leaving for Germany where he joined Eintracht Frankfurt and Mainz 05.
He later featured for Turkish side Vanspor and also played in the Copa Libertadores in books of Venezuelan side Caracas.
The ex Ghana international obtained his coaching certificates in Germany and worked with youth side of FSV Frankfurt.
