Hearts will begin pre-season training on Sunday

Hearts will begin their pre-season training on Sunday, the club has confirmed.

Coach David Duncan will assemble his squad to start preparations in earnest ahead of the start of the Ghana Premier League in September.

The team however is yet to sign any top notch player as negotiations with their target intensifies.

The Accra-based have targeted eight players including Medeama midfielder Sampson Cudjoe, goalkeeper Foli Adade, New Edubiase duo Asiedu Atobrah and Abeiku Ainooson as well as Ashantigold’s David Telfer.

Majority shareholder Togbe Afede XIV has made funds available to coach Duncan to augment his squad.

Hearts have played catch-ups to arch-rivals Kotoko, Berekum Chelsea and Aduana Stars for the past four years and are therefore keen to end their trophy drought.
