Kissi Boateng and four other players have arrived in Ghana with TP Mazembe

All five Ghanaian players were in 21-man TP Mazembe contingent that travelled to Accra on Friday to begin preparations for their CAF Confederations Cup group tie against week. 

Winger Solomon Asante who is in the Ghana squad for next Wednesday’s international friendly against Turkey arrived with them.

Asante has been named by Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah in his 21-man squad to play against the Southeastern European side and will travel with the home-based squad for Istanbul next week.

Full-back Richard Kissi Boateng was also on board the Ravens flight that left Lubumbashi on Friday morning.

Kissi is suspended for Ghana’s all-important 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia next month and was not included in the Ghana squad for the friendly.

Former Asante Kotoko defender Yaw Frimpong, midfielder Gladson Awako and Daniel Nii Adjei have all travelled down.

Mazembe are expected to spend five days in Accra – training at the Lizzy’s Sports Complex to get themselves in shape for next Friday’s tie against Tunisian side CA Bizertin.

Zambian quartet Hichani, Sunzu, Kalaba and Sinkala have joined the Chipolopolos for their international friendly against Senegal next month.
