Abdul Salam Yakubu says New Edubiase have made huge losses by deciding to sell Asiedu Attorbrah and Abeiku Ainooson to Asante Kotoko.

The former FA Cup champions have agreed to a deal in principle to sell the influential duo to the Premier League champions.

Edubiase rejected an initial offer from Kotoko as they considered it demeaning for players they regard as of the highets quality.

But President Abdul Salam Yakubu agreed to an upped deal which officially remains undisclosed after meeting with Kotoko’s board member Alhaji Lamine.

The New Edubiase President now says the club have had to make huge losses in order to sell the two players to Kotoko of which fans of the Porcupine Warriors ought to appreciate.

“These are players New Edubiase was hoping to make a lot of money from,” he told Metro FM.

“A lot of clubs were interested but we had to sacrifice as a club.

“Some supporters of Kotoko believe I don’t like selling to Kotoko.

“We had to forfeit huge monies to give these players to Kotoko and I hope the supporters appreciate this.”

The deal has however not been totally completed as the players are yet to undergo a mandatory medical and agree on personal terms.
