Administrative Manager of Asante Kotoko Ben Nti says the club’s board remain the sole authority apart from its owner Otumfour Osei Tutu II.
There are several uncertainties over who is actually running the club following the appointment of a three-man interim management team led by former player Opoku Nti.
Though the club’s board remain intact despite the resignation of Executive Chairman Dr. Desmond Sarpong, their mandate is in doubt following the installment of the interim management team.
There currently appears to be a struggle for power and authority within the camp of the Ghana Premier League champions.
But Administrative Manager Ben Nti believes the board remain the superseding authority over all other groups and departments within the club.
“As far as I am concerned it is the board that everyone reports to,” he told Metro941.com.
“When I say everyone, I mean every member on the administrative staff, all departments and even the interim management that have been put in place.
“We all ought to work together to ensure the club regain its stability.”
There have already been conflicting directives between the board and the interim management team.
While the board is in favour of the youth team’s intended training tour of the UK upon the invitation of Sunderland, the interim management team appear to be against the trip.
Club owner Otumfour Osei Tutu II is now expected to make some public pronouncement on the structure of the team which is believed will go a long way to solving the current confused state of the club.
