Manchester City loanee Godsway Donyoh scored his maiden competitive goal for Djurgarden in their narrow 2-1 win over Helsingborg in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Monday.

The 18-year-old pulled even for the host with a fine strike two minutes before the break.

Icelandic international Armar Smárason put Helsingborg ahead in the 22nd minute after a period of dominance within the first half hour.

But Donyoh who joined the giants from City before the start of the season on a season-long loan deal levelled the scoring for the Djurgarden in the 43rd minute.

Donyoh had been limited to second half appearances at the Tele2 Arena but was handed a start by manager Mathias Høgmo and he paid back by scoring their equaliser.

Gambian-born Swedish international Amadou Jawo won the match for Djurgarden in the 58th minute with a close range finish.

While Donyoh was starring for Djurgarden, experienced midfielder Yussif Chibsah was playing full throttle for Djurgarden.

Forward David Accam was booked on the 83rd minute mark as he saw full time for Helsingborg while Ema Boateng came off the substitute bench to play for Helsingborg.
