Michael Essien will clash with his Ghanaian compatriots Sulley Muntari, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Kingsley Boateng when Chelsea faces AC Milan in the semi finals of the Guinness International Champions Cup on Sunday.

The Ghanaians are set to face each other in the competitive pre-season game in New York following their respective side’s success in the preliminray round.

Milan secured progress after defeating Valencia 2-1 days ago at the Mestalla.

Chelsea also set up the clash with a similar win over Inter Milan on Thursday.

The Rossoneri however had to travel to Germany to compete in the Audi Cup which Bayern Munich eventually won.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side have since left Germany through Frankfurt for the mouth-watering encounter against the Blues in the US.

This game provides a rare opportunity for the four Ghanaians to meet each other to strenghten ties.

Issues over their international involvenment with the Black Stars would probably be discussed by between the quartet.

This sort of Ghanaian meeting could even grow with Kwadwo Asamoah’s Juventus also featuring in the same competition in the US.
