NDC Chair’s Bodyguard Is An Armed Robber-Police

The Ashanti Regional Police Command is on a collision course with the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Yaw Obimpeh, following the arrest of the bodyguard of the NDC guru for alleged armed robbery.

Abdulai Fuseini, aka “Majimma”, who is the personal bodyguard of the NDC Chairman, was said to have been part of a gang of five who embarked on a robbery operation at the Juaben Rural Bank in Fumesua, close to Kumasi, on Tuesday morning.

He stated in a radio interview that his bodyguard was not a criminal, and that if “Majimma is a criminal, then I am also a criminal because I have known and worked with him for so many years.”

At the time of filing this report the NDC Chairman was said to be on his way to Accra, ostensibly, to lobby for the release of the suspect.
