Midfielder Stephen Oduro insists he can never play for Hearts of Oak due to his immense love for Asante Kotoko.

The 30-year-old refuses to retire from football and remains hopeful of a return to the Ghana Premier League champions.

The Ghana international has not played active football in over a year after he was asked by the erstwhile Kotoko management to stay home – a decision which infuriated numerous fans of the Porcupine Warriors.

The former Real Tamale United midfielder however says he will accept an offer from any other club to continue with his career if Kotoko are unwilling to hand him a return except for rivals Hearts of Oak.

“I can never play for Hearts of Oak,” he told Kumasi-based Fox FM.

“Any other team, yes but not Hearts of Oak.

“If they offer money, I will collect it but will not play for them because of my love for Asante Kotoko.”
