ALHAJI NURU Hamidan, Municipal Chief Executive for Asokore Mampong in the Ashanti Region, has made a passionate appeal to colleague MMDCEs and the electorate in the region to remain united and forge ahead to bring improvement to the lives of residents in area.
According to him government alone cannot deliver on the numerous promises it made to the people of Ghana without the cooperation of the citizenry.
Referring to the old adage that “united we stand, divided we fall”, he noted that nothing good could be achieved in a divided nation, and stressed the need for Ghanaians as a people to come together as a family and support the government of the day to achieve the goals of the Better Ghana Agenda.
He told The Chronicle, shortly after being sworn into office that Asokore Mampong was one of the most deprived areas in the region compared to other Districts and Municipalities in other parts of the country in terms of security, education and health.
He pleaded with all MMDCEs in the region to make every effort to make sure that the government’s Better Ghana Agenda was achieved through selflessness and humility to bring development to the people.
