Ghana winger Andre Ayew caught up with fellow Ghanaian international Afriyie Acquah and Yussif Raman Chibsah during Olympique Marseille’s pre-season clash with Parma on Wednesday.
Despite his injury, Andre travelled to Italy with the Marseille squad and met with Acquah and Chibsah at the Stadio Ennio Tardini just before the start of their friendly tie.
Acquah and Chibsah walked over to the Marseille dug-out at the Stadio Ennio Tardini to greet Andre and briefly chat with him before kick-off.
Andre was not used in the game by Marseille boss Elie Baup as he assembled a starting eleven that did not feature any of the Ayew brothers (neither Jordan nor Andre).
Raffaele Palladino’s lone strike clinched victory for Parma at their favourite home grounds with Ghana youth midfielder Raman Chibsah displaying great bravery in the middle.
Chibsah was acquired by Parma from Juventus after he excelled last season with newly-promoted side Sassuolo Calcio in the Serie B while Acquah returned to Parma as a loanee from German side TSG Hoffenheim.
However, Parma boss Roberto Donadoni did not use him in the game.
Jordan Ayew made a second half appearance for Marseille but he was unable to find the net for the guests.
