Ghana’s Samuel Afum bagged a brace for Young Boys in their friendly win on Monday evening

Ghana attacker Samuel Afum announced his return to action by scoring a brace for Young Boys in their 3-1 win over lower-tier side Chiasso on Monday. 

The 22-year-old armed with his incredible pace and prodigious shooting prowess netted twice in the first-half for Young Boys B with a strike each in the 23rd and 51st minutes.

Afum returned to action for the Super League leaders playing 20 minutes and contributing in the third of their fight-from-behind 3-2 victory over Thun FC at the STADE DE SUISSE Wankdorf Bern.

He fired from range (20 yards) to open the scoring and set up the second before claiming his second of the evening with a close range finish before 4000 spectators in Bern.

The former Hearts of Oak attacker’s return is a welcoming news for Young Boys coach Uli Forte who wants the attacker back to action to help in his league title ambition.

He scored five times on his debut season in Europe and is tipped to explode this term.
