Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako has vowed to stay on and fight for a position at the club.

Amoako has been linked with a move away from the club this transfer window after playing second fiddle to Burkina Faso international Abdoulaye Soulama.

He was first choice before Soulama’s arrival at the club.

The former AshantiGold gloves man is wanted by a host of Ghana Premier League clubs but the 28-year-old wants be fight for his position.

“I still have a contract and I am still committed and loyal to the club. I am not leaving. I am happy here and very mindful of the competition,” Amoako told the club’s official website.

“I am not afraid of competition so I am staying to compete and will compete to win myself more appearances.

“You may not know the importance of an opportunity given that privilege was not won the hard way.”
