Ghana attacker Samuel Afum finally marked his return from injury for Young Boys after playing part in their 3-2 victory over Thun FC in the Swiss Super League on Sunday.

Young Boys coach Uli Forte introduced the 22-year-old as 70th minute replacement for Michael Frey at the STADE DE SUISSE Wankdorf Bern.

The former Ghana Premier League Golden Shoe Award winner spent close to four weeks on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery.

Thun cruised to a 2-0 lead in the first-half but subtitute Yuya Kubo scored twice to level the scoring for the host before Afum aided their third after initiating an attack from the right.

Young Boys have won all their opening three games and lead the Super League table with a perfect record.

Afum is expected to be given more playing time as his match fitness improves.
