Aduana Stars insist Hearts of Oak have not signed defender Godfred Saka

Ghana Premier League side Aduana Stars have rubbished media reports claiming the club have reached an agreement to allow defender Godfred Saka join Hearts of Oak.

Saka, 23, said last week that he has chosen the 2000 African champions among a flock of clubs chasing after his signature while Aduana were reported to have held talks with their Hearts of Oak counterparts over the move.

Champions Asante Kotoko are eyeing a move for the former Right to Dream Academy defender while Medeama and AshGold have also shown interest.

However Aduana Stars insist AshGold are the only side who have officially written for the versatile defender while they are yet to receive a bid from Hearts of Oak.

“It is not true, we have not decided to sell Saka to Hearts of Oak. The reports are false. I’ve also spoken to Saka about it and he has denied the reports as well,” Club Spokesperson George Gyawu told Accra-based Peace FM.

“AshGold are the only side who have written to us for Saka and if Hearts are interested, they should write to us.

The Phobians have already completed the signing of duo Emmanuel Hayford and Selasie Adjei from Amidaus Professionals.
