Ghanaian attacker Dominic Oduro was named Man-of-the-Match in Columbus Crew’s 2-1 defeat to Toronto FC in the American Major Soccer League on Saturday.
Oduro, 27, won the prize after his wonderful 20 yards effort which opened the scoring for Crew in the 17th minute at the BMO Field in Ontario but his side failed to protect the lead as they suffered a narrow defeat.
The former Chicago Fire forward was voted the most valuable player of the match for the fourth time this season and presented with the Barbasol Man of the Match Award after the game.
Though Crew are lying third from bottom in a ten-team league table, Oduro’s form in the American top-tier is earning him raving reviews week after week.
Saturday’s blasting finish marked his ninth goal of the season.
