Ghana forward David Accam hit a double for Helsingborg IF in their 4-2 win over IFK Göteborg in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday evening.

The 22-year-old levelled the scoring for the league leaders in the 45th minute to keep the scoring 2-2 just before the half-time whistle and wrap up the win in second-half stoppage-time for the Reds.

Helsingborg needed to win to claim the maximum points at stake and ease off the pressure at the summit of the table but they had to battle from two goals down to clinch victory from a resilient Göteborg side.

Loret Sadiku cut down the deficit for Helsingborg three minutes from time before Accam settled the scores just before the break.

Accam turned the architect for Mattias Lindström to put Helsingborg ahead for the first time in the game before taking over the show to cement the win for the leaders.

Accam picked an excellent pull-back from the right and used his exceptional ability to curl the ball into the near post.

He then drilled a powerful low drive through the legs of the goalkeeper to crown an impressive evening for the visitors.

The double has increased his season tally to nine goals from 17 games and it also marked his second brace of the season after scoring a double against Elfsborg in May.
