Ghana winger Christian Atsu
Ghana winger Christian Atsu is one of three players being seriously considered for a summer swoop by Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
The 21-year-old is going head-to-head against Tottenham Hotspurs target Roberto Soldado and Galatasaray’s Burak Yilmaz according to reports in the English press.
Atsu wants out of FC Porto who are now also ready to sell haven failed to convince the Ghanaian to sign a contract extension.
The back and forth of the the Atsu deal is said to have put Liverpool off.
The English club is now considering deals for Soldado and Yilmaz even though the Ghanaian remains an option.
Atsu is already a Ghana international at 21 and played for the Black Stars at the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa.
