Ghanaian youth international striker Kwame Amponsah-Karikari heralded the start of his loan spell in Turkey with a sensational 25 yards finish for Balikesirspor in their 3-2 pre-season friendly defeat to Bursaspor on Saturday.

The 21-year-old AIK Stockholm loanee hammered a punchy drive that sailed unstoppably into the net to draw level for the Lig 2 side in Bursa.

Karikari, a former Ghana U20 forward, had earlier assisted ?lhan Depe for Balikesirspor after Bursaspor had gone 2-0 up to halve the deficit before he defrayed it with a world class finish before 5,000 spectators.

He collected a pass from a team-mate and darted a fierce drive which proved unstoppable for the Bursaspor goalkeeper.

This was his first game in charge for the second-tier side who gained from the Turkish Lig 3 last season.

He arrived on loan from Swedish giants AIK Stockholm last week and is set to spend the entire Turkish season with the club as they seek to secure promotion to the top-flight league.
