English third-tier side Bristol City are prepared to resist further attempts from Wigan Athletics and Crystal Palace to lure away Ghana winger Albert Adomah played him their second pre-season friendly on Saturday.

The 25-year-old has slapped a transfer request to leave the Ashton Gate Stadium but the Robins are not prepared to let him leave as he saw 54 minutes of action in their pre-season friendly against Bournemouth which ended 0-0 on Saturday.

Wigan Athletics, who suffered relegation from the Premiership as well as new-boys  Crystal Palace have both declared interest in the powerful right winger but are yet to table offers.

City boss Sean O’Driscoll featured the Ghana international in their last pre-season friendly game against Bournemouth on Saturday evening with Adomah seeing 54 minutes of action.

On Thursday he called the bluff of Wigan by naming Adomah in his starting line-up as they pipped Reading 1-0 at the Ashton Gate.

Despite their determination to keep Adomah, he could still well leave the club if a decent offer is made by a club before August 30 when the transfer window shuts.
