Asante Kotoko legend Abdul Razak is expecting a quick resolution to the club’s administrative problems.
The camp of the Ghana Premier League champions appear to be in turmoil following the shocking resignation of Dr. Desmond Sarpong as Executive Chairman.
Several accusations have been made against the Dr. Sarpong-led administration over what many perceive as ‘shady transfer deals’ for which full accountability is being demanded.
The club owner Otumfour Osei Tutu II will be meeting the remaining members of the board in the coming days to discuss the way forward for the side.
And former player and coach of the side Abdul Razak is hoping for a quick resolution of all administrative issues in order to prepare the side adequately for the new season.
“All of us are concerned about the current state of the club,” he said.
“I however believe Otumfour has very good advisers on football to help him make the right decisions.
“So we wait for Otumfour to show us the way forward so the team will be ready for the new season.”
Kotoko won back-to-back Premier League titles and made two FA Cup finals during the three year reign of Dr. Sarpong.
The side however failed to make the group stage on their return to CAF Champions League – a competition the will again compete in next season following their domestic league success.
