Ghana attacker Samuel Afum is set to play his first game of the season for Young Boys in the Swiss Super League after fully recovering from injury.
The 22-year-old trained fully for the time in three weeks with the Young Boys first team squad on Friday and manager Uli Forte has included him in his 18-man squad to face Thun at the STADE DE SUISSE Wankdorf on Sunday.
Afum went under the knife three weeks to get him recover in time from a knee injury he suffered last season.
Young Boys have been without the former Hearts striker who heralded the club’s campaign late into the season scoring five key goals as they finished in mid-table place.
However Young Boys boss Uli Forte does not want to risk attacker and he is expected to start him from the bench and use him as a second half substitute.
Young Boys lead the Super League with six points from their opening two games of the season.
