Ex-Ghana international Otto Addo will jump at the opportunity to coach the Black Stars if he is approached.

Addo has made strides in his burgeoning coaching career and was recently appointed head coach of Hamburg’s U19 team.

Born in Hamburg, the 38-year-old opted to play for Ghana and played in the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations on home soil.

He was a member of the squad which played for Ghana in their debut FIFA World Cup finals in Germany 2006.

Addo retired from football two years later after battling injuries.

The former Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund player says he would love to handle the Black Stars in the future.

“I am happy at Hamburg currently, but Ghana is my country and I will never resist in future when they come calling for my service,” Addo told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

“I have also coached some First Division teams and I hope to help Ghana one day.”
