Professor Dave Ulrich, a Human Resource (HR) Transformation Strategist and the most influential person in HR, will be in Ghana next month for a two-day HR Transformation and Leadership Master Classes.

This is at the invitation of 2SL Limited and Corporate Aims Services Limited, both HR Advisors and Consultants.

The event, to be held at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra from July 30-31, 2013, would promote best practices in human resources management in the public and private sectors.

According to the event organizers, the objective is to help shape the future of the HR practice in Ghana and Africa by examining the latest trends in HR, define the contributions that HR makes to the success of businesses, and offer actionable ideas and tools needed to move HR from a transactional to a transformational role.

It will also enlighten business leaders on how to create real and measurable value for the organization through leveraging HR, how to build long-term value through leadership, leadership sustainability, how to identify, build and retain the right talent and how to make data-driven decisions, among others.

Prof Dave Ulrich is hailed worldwide as the ‘go-to guy ‘for HR strategy and leadership, HR transformation.

He is the brain behind the ‘Three legged Stool Model’ of HR delivery, popularly referred to as the Business Partner Model.

He is a professor at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan and a partner at the RBL Group, a consulting firm focused on helping organizations and leaders deliver value.

He studies how organizations build capabilities of leadership, speed, learning, accountability, and talent through leveraging human resources.

He has helped generate award-winning databases that assess alignment between strategies, organization capabilities, HR practices, HR competencies and customer and investor results.
