Budda on stage with a motorbike

The ten finalists in this season’s Vodafone Icons, Street Edition, music reality show last Sunday took turns to thrill fans and patrons to some exciting performances at the live show.

The ten, Zakia, Budda, Harry, Joyce, Kelvin, Mariam, Rosel, Ryan, Sarah, and Seed, were at their peak, doing their best to impress the judges – Miss Naa, Appietus, and Gena West – and the general public.

Prior to the individual performances which were themed “This is Africa”, constants were hit with an unexpected nerve racking eviction scare.

The announcement of a possible eviction by host of the show Benny Blanco heightened the tension of the housemates, knowing very well that their fates now hang in a balance.

The ten, however, breathed a sigh of relief when they were told that they will be left off the eviction hook for one more week.

Some of the performances on the night were: Kelvin who gave a beautiful rendition of P-Square’s Beautiful Onyiye, Rosel performed Asa’s Jailer, and Becca’s Daa Ke Daa performed by Zakia.

Sarah performed Sarkodie and Efya’s I’m In Love With You, Banky W’s Yes/No performed by Seed, and Kwaw Kese’s junior brother Budda who shook the show with his rendition of Wizkid’s The Matter.

Budda’s performance – including appearing on stage with a motorbike – was adjudged by the hundreds who thronged the National Theatre for the live recording as the most impressive.
