Cardiff are now considering a £1million bid for Bristol City winger Albert Adomah, who has handed in a transfer request, after Thomas Ince snubbed a move to the Wales-based side.

Ince, the England Under-21 international, became a father for the first time on Thursday.

He has left Cardiff manager Malky Mackay frustrated after opting to remain in the Championship with Blackpool, who are managed by his father Paul.

According to a report in the English newspaper The Daily Telegraph Mackay has turned his attentions to Adomah, 25, who has been the subject of two bids from Wigan.

Ince scored 18 goals for Blackpool last season and came close to joining Liverpool in the January transfer window, while Reading also attempted to sign him.

Cardiff have already broken their transfer record this summer to sign Denmark international forward Andreas Cornelius from FC Copenhagen in a £7.5 million deal.

Adomah is desperate to leave Bristol City, the third tier English side, as he must leave to play top-flight football to protect his place in the Ghana national team.
