Ashantigold will take disciplinary action against their midfielder Alhaji Sannie for using abusive words on referee Yaw Ametepey during Sunday’s coronation match against Kotoko.
The 23-year-old shockingly lost his cool and poured venom on the centre referee after the game at the Baba Yara stadium.
It is immedidatley unknown what might have precipitated his action, but even scores of Ashantigold fans were reported to be unhappy with the behaviour of their midfielder.
Ashantigold are expected to take disciplinary action against the player for insubordination and bringing the club and the game into disrepute.
Kotoko were officially crowned Ghana champions after beating the miners 3-0 in front of their home fans.
