As the date for the much anticipated City People Entertainment Awards draw close, the organisers have added a new category to the existing tall list of nominees in this year’s City People Entertainment Awards 2013.
The newly added category is the Most Promising Actress of the Year (Ghana). According to the organisers, the reason behind the new category is to carry more practitioners in the industry along.
This addition will in no way hamper the smooth organization of the grand event in Lagos on the 14th of July, 2013, at The Haven Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.
Since the second edition of the awards in 2010, Ghanaian celebrities have been awarded yearly for their contributions to the showbiz industry, not just in Ghana, but on the global stage.
The Most Promising Actress of the Year category has; Vicky Zugah, JJ Bunny, Helen Asante, Emmanuela Mensah, Calista Okoronkwo and Gloria Sarfo.
The award ceremony is expected to draw about 3,000 guests as well as top showbiz celebrities from Nigeria and Ghana and other parts of the world. Entertainment enthusiasts are already dubbing it as the biggest gathering of Ghana and Nigerian showbiz stars.
The nominees’ party comes up on July 5, 2013, at the plush Exel Lounge and Night Club, at Airport in Accra.
Attendance at the party is strictly by invitation.
