There is a reason we call our Parliamentarians “HONOURABLES” but recent incantations from some NDC Parliamentarians have revealed that, these people should not be addressed as Honourables because there is nothing honourable about them and some of them actually should be in prison instead of Parliament because they are Rapists if we apply the correct meaning of the word. Others just don’t have the brains to be in Parliament to make laws for us to live by.
Some of these Parliamentarians are actually doing more harm than good being in Parliament and the nation is spending close to a quarter of a million dollars on each of these yahoos salaries and benefits yearly.
Let’s examine recent utterances by two of these yahoos whose entry into Parliament were made possible despite their previous records. Hon Adjei Mensah, the NDC Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency wondered why Nana Addo went for medicals abroad, in spite of his strong belief in the “all-die-be-die” mantra.Quoting copiously from scripture saying “from the same mouth come blessing and cursing” and “death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
What is wrong if Nana Akuffo Addo at his age goes for medical check up? This codger Adjei Mensah should do the same instead of trying to get the attention of Mahama for a Ministerial post. According to this old man Adjei Mensah who was a Parliamentarian during Rawlings time as President, “All-die-be-die mantra is reason for Akufo-Addo’s ill-health” Has Adjei Mensah ever been to any hospital in his over 65 years life to access for any medical treatment? Can he tell us what crime or what he has said before that made him sick? How can a man like this who reasons like a two year old ends up in Parliament? What kind of services can such an airhead provide to his Techiman constituents if this man believes that Nana Akuffo is sick because of “All die be die” comment? Can he tell us why Atta Mills went to USA for “medical check up?” What crime did Mills commit for him to seek medical attention? Some of these MP’s need to engage their brains when talking instead of being too emotional with issues.
Now here comes the kicker. Another NDC MP is advocating for the marriage of fourteen year old girls who become pregnant because this same MP has two wifes one of them believe to be under the age of eighteen(18) Alhaji Mubarak Muntaka,The Majority Chief Whip who is also the NDC MP for Asawase in Ashanti Region has expressed worry at our legal system and noted that once a girl gets pregnant at for instance age 14, she should be allowed to marry at that age instead of saying that she must attain the age of 18 before she can enter a matrimonial home. According to the MPs once a teenager gets pregnant she should be supported and encouraged rather than vilified and scorned since this destroys the potential of such teenagers.
Instead of this MP who has been caught before using state resources to finance his girfriend’s child pampers and buying “chinchinga’ with our tax money, we should be supporting children to marry instead of ecouraging them to get education.Left to Muntaka, Ghana will be a “MAKARANTA” country with only boys educated whilst girls just become sexual objects to satisfy the salacious interests of these perverts masquerading as “HONOURABLES”.What kind of nation are we building if we have such fools making laws for our country? This is the same Muntaka who married a Secondary school student who was believed to be fifteen years old but he denied the age of the girl only to say that the girl was above 16 years old. This is the second wife to this forty something year old man sleeping with a teenager he calls a wife. In any society, Muntaka would have been charged with a crime of rape since he was forced to marry this minor after he has made her pregnant.
What is wrong with these NDC MP’s and rape? Yes, it is rape when you sleep with minors who have not reach the age of consent which in Ghana is eighteen years(18). One of the so called three wise men, Alba Bagbin also slept with a girl under the age of 18 who is his wife’s sister and impregnated her and despite the fact that this man is a Catholic cocooned himself in his tribe’s primitive culture that allows him to marry the sister of his wife despite her age.
What about Captain Mfodwo, another NDC MP who held a gun to a girl head and raped her repeatedly? What happened in that case? The last I heard of this case, the poor girl was paid off to withdraw the case against this rapist in Parliament.
Even the Speaker of Parliament , Doe Adjaho was accused by a lady who works at the Party office at Ho for raping her. I just can’t believe we have so many rapists MP’s in one Party and these criminals are the ones making laws for the rest of us to live by. MAY GOD HELP US WITH THESE CRIMINALS IN PARLIAMENT.
