Supreme Court To Rule On Martin Amidu vrs Isofoton Today

The Supreme Court will on Friday 21st June, 2013 rule on the case in which former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Martin Amidu has sued the A-G’s department, Isofoton SA and one Anane Adjei Forson over the payment of a 1.5 million dollars judgment debt paid to Isofoton.

Mr. Amidu is asking the court to declare the payment as illegal.
Martin Amidu last Friday won a Supreme Court case which ruled that the 40 million Euros paid to Waterville Holdings was illegal and should be retrieved.

In a related development, the Court will also hear the application filed by the National Youth Organizer of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) , Abu Ramadan’s seeking to overturn the Supreme Court ruling that the court cannot sit on public holidays.

Abu Ramadan is also challenging the Court’s earlier decision that aggrieved parties in an election petition case can seek a review of the case.

At the last hearing the case was adjourned following the unavailability of one of the Justices.
