Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has tipped Anderlecht winger Frank Acheampong to excelled at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup.
Acheampong, 19, has been influential for the Sellas Tetteh’s side and scored in the African Youth qualifiers.
The former King Faisal playmaker’s experience would be vital for the 2009 champions as he is capped once by Ghana’s senior side – appearing in a friendly against China last year.
Badu, who scored Ghana’s kick to make Ghana become the first African side to win the tournament, believes Ghana’s success in Turkey will very much depend on Acheampong.
“If the campaign in Turkey would go very well, then much will depend on Frank Acheampong,” he told Accra-based Oman FM.
“I spoke with the coach four days ago and he is very confidence about things.
“They have to take things very seriously stay focused.”
He was not involved in Ghana’s campaign at the 2013 African Youth Championship when the Black Satellites finished second.
