Ghana FA Executive Committee member Winfred Osei Parma claims the immediate return of Kevin-Prince Boateng and the Ayew brothers into the Black Stars is ‘non-negotiable’.

The three players ended their self-imposed exile last week and have confirmed their availability for future matches.

Their decision to return to the national fold has dominated the major talking point in the West African country with opinions sharply divided.

It took the intervention of Ghana President John Dramani Mahama to get Andre and his younger brother Jordan to rescind their decision.

Black Stars management committee member and politician Yaw Boateng Gyan played an influential role in getting Kevin Boateng to come out of his early international retirement plans.

While Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has insisted the returnees are not guaranteed a place in his team, a member of the powerful Ghana FA Executive Committee Winfred Osei Parma claims the country cannot do without them in their quest to qualify to the World Cup.

“Look we need them. Whether we like it or not, they are quality players that any coach would like to have in his team,” Parma told Happy FM

“For me there is no need to continue the debate on whether coach Appiah should call them or not.

“The truth of the matter is that their return to the team is non-negotiable.

“You have a player in the caliber of Kevin Prince Boateng who plays for a great team like AC Milan and plays Champions League regularly and you don’t need him in your team?

“Look at the exploits of Andre. Who can tell me Jordan is not a quality player?

“So please we need them to be in the immediately. There is no time to waste. What time again do we need them when we have three crucial matches to play.

“We have a game against Zambia and then the play-offs. Again if we qualify for the World Cup, we need our best materials.

“Honourable coach Kwesi Appiah will make the final decision but like I said their return is non-negotiable.

It remains to be seen if the Ghanaian trainer will bow to pressure to recall the three players ahead of the crucial final group D game against the Chipolopolo in September.
