Ayawaso West Wuogon Member of Parliament (MP), Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko appears nauseated by the rampant market fire outbreaks across the country.
Speaking on Peace FM’s flagship programme “Kokrokoo” on Monday, the MP seemed stumped by the incessant nature of the fire outbreaks.
Puzzled the rampant fire outbreaks, he openly wondered the source of these fires, because to him, the calamity that struck several markets in the Accra metropolis and the recent one that occurred at the Kumasi Central market defies human reasoning.
Trying not to tow the line of superstition in his submissions, Mr. Kyeremateng Agyarko however called on the entire nation to seek divine help to uncover the mysteries behind the recent happenings.
“Let’s plead with God if there’s something hidden in it or if there’s something rather wrong or if indeed its human error…It is recurring too much. It is gradually transcending scientific predictions. We must find out.”
According to him, whiles the leadership and citizenry remains vigilant in averting the recurrence of further fire outbreaks, government must extend the stay of the American fire experts for them to ascertain the cause(s) of the fire at the Kumasi Central Market.
He further called on President Mahama to swiftly put measures in place to check the unfortunate incidents.
“If he (President Mahama) is privy to something we don’t know, then he should work at it quickly because what’s happening has become very bizarre,” he told host Kwame Sefa Kayi.
