Razak Pimpong says he has not retired from the Black Stars.

Denmark-based striker Razak Pimpong has not given up on international football despite seven years of absence.

The 30-year-old’s last appearance for the Black Stars was at the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals in Germany.

“I have not quit the national team, everyone has ambitions to play for the Black Stars, but I can say that the guys in the team now are doing so well and can qualify Ghana for our third World Cup,” the Viborg player told Goal Ghana.

”I am so happy for them and I always follow the games, all the players should be supportive.”

Pimpong represented Ghana as a junior international by playing in the African U17 Championship winning team in 2009 in Guinea.

He played in the 2001 silver medal winning team at the FIFA World Youth Championship in Argentina.
