Joy FM, SIC officials tour ultra-modern Read 100 library

David Max Fugar, the Director of Sales and Marketing of the Multimedia Group leading the team.

Officials of Joy FM and State Insurance Company on Wednesday inspected an ultra-modern library built for basic schools at Kpodzi in the Ho Municipality.

Started in 2011, the library will be commissioned in July this year, fully furnished and stocked with all kinds of books by Joy FM.

The 100-seater capacity library project is estimated at stimulating the interest of thousands of children to read a book a month and also to promote child literacy.

Touring the facility, the Joy FM team was led by David Max Fugar, the Director of Sales and Marketing of the Multimedia Group and John Appeah, Read100 project coordinator while Nana Yaw Mantey, Head of Corporate Affairs Director and Joyce Adu led the SIC team.

Nana Yaw Mantey who spoke to Joy News after touring the facility said his company’s partnership with Joy FM formed part of its corporate social responsibility.

He expressed satisfaction about progress of work and assured that SIC will continue partnering Joy FM to provide reading centres or libraries for many more communities.

The primary objective of the project is to construct fifteen libraries over a three-year period across the country.

This encourages collaboration and shared ownership by residents in building and operating new libraries/learning centers where children will have access to educational resources during and after school hours.
